A teen charged in the April killing of a 16-year-old high school student in Springfield will be tried as an adult.

Prosecutors say 16-year-old Cordae Curb had his case transferred from juvenile court to adult court.

Curb and 16-year-old Dremone Patterson both face murder charges in Keyon Day’s death.

Patterson is believed to have fired the shots that killed Day April 24 in the 23- hundred block of Taylor Avenue near Dreamland Park.

Investigators say Curb was the driver of the stolen vehicle from which Patterson fired the shots.
