Tuesday Springfield Police Street Crimes Unit, Pro-Active Crime Unit, along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted two search warrants.
The warrants were served as the result of an
investigation involving Eddie Cousins, 23 years old, of Springfield.
The first warrant was served in the 1000 block of N. 1st Street, followed by a second warrant in the 3000 block of Great Northern Drive; police found both drugs and
weapons.
Cousins was arrested and transported to the Sangamon County Jail pending formal charges by the Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office.
