Springfield police are investigating a shooting that sent a 50-year-old man to the hospital Thursday night.
Officers were called to the 24-hundred block of Taylor Avenue just after 6 pm Thursday.
They found the man with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to HSHS St. John’s Hospital for treatment, but the wound is not believed to be life-threatening.
Investigators are assessing evidence collected at the scene, but there was no immediate word on suspects or arrests.
