A proposed ordinance would result in quarterly postings of everyone who is fined for parking violations or garbage, brush, or weed offenses in Springfield.
Mayor Jim Langfelder and Alderman Joe McMenamin jointly requested the ordinance.
McMenamin says a local news outlet recently had to file a FOIA request to get information on a troubled property, and says that information should be readily and immediately available to the public.
Aldermen will discuss the proposal later this month.
