The attorneys for the family of Earl Moore, Jr., say testimony at a hearing for his accused killers was startling, and shows that Moore did not have to die.

During Friday’s preliminary hearing, an investigator testified that EMT Peggy Finley said on a recorded phone call that she did not check Moore’s vitals during an ambulance ride, because she didn’t want to, quote, “poke the bear.” And information from a pathologist indicated that Moore sustained rib fractures from being forcefully restrained face down on a stretcher.

Attorneys Ben Crump and Bob Hilliard say the information is disturbing… but consistent with what was seen on police body cam video. Finley and EMT Peter Cadigan are charged with first-degree murder in Moore’s death.
