It was supposed to be the first live televised debate featuring all six Republican candidates for governor in the same room.

But one of the contenders taking part in Thursday night’s debate in Chicago has had to switch to remote participation after testing positive for COVID. Jesse Sullivan’s campaign he took the test as part of the COVID protocol set up by debate organizers, and those debate protocols now prevent him from being there in person… requiring Sullivan to take part instead via Zoom.

WMAY will replay highlights of the Thursday debate on Podium, Sunday morning at 10am.
