It will be another busy meeting for Springfield aldermen and women when the City Council convenes Tuesday night.
Among the items up for debate are a proposal to impose tighter controls on forgiveness of debt owed to City Water Light and Power – a $20 million contract for the construction of three new firehouses – a scaled-back plan to purchase new trash and recycling receptacles for downtown – and the request for more than $18 million in TIF funding to help pay for major renovations at the Wyndham City Centre downtown.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 5:30pm, and you can watch it live at the WMAY YouTube page.
