The Illinois State Police is set to host its inaugural all-women recruitment event, aiming to encourage women to explore diverse career paths within the agency.
The event will take place at the ISP Academy on March 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is open to the public free of charge.
Attendees will have the opportunity to gather employment information and meet professionals from various law enforcement specialties, including forensic science, investigations, telecommunications, crime scene services, and patrol.
ISP is committed to increasing the number of women in its ranks and is participating in the 30X30 Initiative.
This initiative is a coalition of police leaders, researchers, and professional organizations dedicated to supporting and advancing the representation, experiences, and well-being of women in policing agencies.
