Chatham Fire responded to a fire with “heavy” smoke just before noon on Saturday in the 600 block of Williamson Ave.
When crews arrived, they found that one of the units on the second story was showing heavy smoke.
When firefighters arrived, everyone in the home was accounted for; they immediately began to work on extinguishing the fire thereafter and got it under control within 15 minutes.
The fire was contained to the area it started in, but the first and second floors were damaged by smoke and water.
