The Sangamon County coroner is revealing the name of the man killed in a shooting at a mobile home park in an unincorporated area of Springfield.
Michael Newton died after he was shot Saturday outside a trailer in the one-thousand block of North Edmond Street.
Officers later located the suspect’s vehicle parked in the 24-hundred block of Foxbridge Road, but the suspect
wasn’t found.
Officials believe the shooting could be related to an earlier disturbance in the 600 block of North Wesley.
