Illinois State Police are ramping up efforts to recruit more women for the force.

They’ve announced their goal is to have 30% of state police cadets be women by the year 2030.

They say recruitment for law enforcement is down everywhere, and the force has launched a social media campaign to inform potential recruits of the opportunities with the state police.
