For those amongst us who enjoy the rare glass of beer or wine, December can be a pretty wet month; everyone could use a break once in a while, no?
And that’s where an idea like Dry January, can be a useful way to give your body a break after a rollicking end of the year; but there are, after all, so few public spaces designed to accommodate such a holiday.
Dry January hasn’t been too difficult for me, but we’re only 12 days into it after all; I haven’t been in too many situations where I’ve tempted myself to have a drink. There have been a couple of moments where people have offered to buy me a drink – or where I wanted one at dinner – but all in all, it’s been OK.
Thankfully, for those celebrating with me, there are places in Springfield like The Wakery – a dry bar that was just named Springfield’s BEST Bar in 2023!
If you’re also participating in Dry January this year and need something to do over the upcoming weeks and weekends, check out The Wakery! They’re open Wednesday through Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
And you can see a list of their mainstay mocktails below!
