As part of an effort to stop the spread of respiratory illnesses this Holiday season, Memorial Health is temporarily restricting visitors at all hospitals.

Memorial will require that all parties visiting affected locations be 18 years old or older, and to limit their groups to 2 visitors per patient at a time. Protective face masks are not currently being required, but are recommended, with disposable face masks to be available at entrances.

The restrictions, which follow a recommendation by the Illinois Department of Public Health, apply to inpatient units at all five Memorial Health hospitals across Central Illinois:

  • Decatur Memorial Hospital,
  • Jacksonville Memorial Hospital,
  • Lincoln Memorial Hospital,
  • Springfield Memorial Hospital,
  • Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

These restrictions only apply to Memorial Health’s hospital locations; outpatient care facilities will not be impacted.
