The Associated Press has fact-checked some common fake news items circulating on social media.

Among them, it is not true that the Biden administration is giving illegal aliens cash payments of $2,200 per month.

Immigration experts told the AP that people who enter the U.S. illegally are not eligible for federal cash assistance, with the exception of certain Cubans and Haitians.

Some refugees and asylum seekers – who are in the country legally – can receive relocation assistance, but it does not amount to $2,200 a month.
