It’s going to be a busy weekend in downtown Springfield.

Multiple events will take place on Saturday, including the ribbon-cutting to officially open the Old Capitol Farmers Market downtown.

The market will take place every Wednesday and Saturday through October.

Saturday is also Day One of the Old Capitol Art Fair.

And Springfield PrideFest will be held near 5th and Capitol, starting with a parade that steps off at 11:30 am and continuing with live entertainment and vendors throughout the afternoon and evening.

And if you’re looking to stock up on books, the Lincoln Library Alliance will hold its annual book sale outside the library on 7th Street from 9 am to 3 pm Saturday.
