Two Central Illinois members of Congress have come together to honor the seven people who lost their lives in the dust storm pileup on Interstate 55 south of Springfield this month.
Republican Mary Miller and Democrat Nikki Budzinski were joined by other members of the Illinois congressional delegation to express condolences to the family members of those killed and to thank the first responders who provided aid to the victims, even as the dust cloud kept visibility near zero.
The two then led the chamber in a moment of silence for the victims.
