Former Illinois Governor Blagojevich tweets about possible pending Trump charges

Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is weighing in on the possibility that former President Donald Trump could be criminally charged and arrested as early as this week.

In a tweet, Blagojevich condemns the possibility of charges against Trump, calling it part of the “weaponization” of prosecutions as a political tool. Blagojevich was tried and convicted on federal fraud charges and sent to prison until Trump commuted his sentence.

Now the former Democratic governor is calling for a congressional investigation into what he says is an “abuse of power” by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office – and says Republican prosecutors should be investigated, too.
