A longtime volunteer at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is still giving to the institution, even after his death. Jack Navins volunteered at the museum for 17 years until his sudden passing last year at the age of 73.
Now his family is donating $100,000 to the museum. The money will go towards a planned $500,000 exhibit to teach young people about the rights and responsibilities of being a citizen.
Navins’s survivors say the 22-year Navy veteran believed strongly in the need to be a good citizen and to give back to society.
