The Illinois State Museum is taking its new Generation X exhibit one step further – by holding a Gen-X Prom this Friday night at the museum in Springfield.
The exhibit features many of the items and artifacts that Generation X grew up with – from corded telephones to cassette decks to parachute pants.
Now people are invited to come out in ‘80s and ‘90s attire for Gen-X-inspired food, non-alcoholic beverages, and music of the era provided by local DJs.
Tickets are $40 for Illinois State Museum members and $50 for non-members. The event is Friday from 7 to 11 pm.
