An area congresswoman is vowing an investigation after DirecTV dropped conservative news network Newsmax from its available lineup of networks and programming over its carriage fees.

Republican Congresswoman Mary Miller – famous for her 2021 Hitler gaffe – says DirecTV’s action against Newsmax amounts to “censorship by the authoritarian left.”

She says Big Tech companies are trying to, quote, “crush conservative voices” and pledges that House Republicans will conduct oversight of the matter.

DirecTV reiterated that it dropped Newsmax because the station was demanding higher fees for access to its programming – which DirecTV says would have resulted in higher costs for consumers.
