Governor JB Pritzker has agreed to take part in an upcoming candidate forum put on by a suburban Chicago newspaper… after the paper’s parent company dropped its contract to print and mail out a publication from a conservative group backing Pritzker’s opponent.

Pritzker initially pulled out of the forum because he said the material from the People Who Play By The Rules PAC misled voters by being designed to look like a legitimate newspaper. Paddock Publications, which owns the Daily Herald newspaper, said it would end its contract to print the material in order to stay out of the political fight.

Dan Proft, who runs the PAC, issued a statement calling Pritzker a “bedwetting, spoiled brat” who threw a tantrum and got his way.
