Little Guy is a sweet, affectionate 5-year-old medium hair cat. He has FIV, which means he has a weaker immune system than most cats. FIV cats can live a long, happy life, but should not go to a home with FIV-negative cats. If you are interested in adopting Little Guy, call the APL at 217-544-7387 or fill out an application at apl-shelter.org!
Pietro takes on the world with eyes full of wonder. He and his sister were found living in a corn field so we aren’t sure what his life was like before he came to the shelter. He was a little shy and understandably fearful when he first came to the shelter, but with consistent confidence building and positive reinforcement, he has really come out of his shell. He has learned that the leash is a good thing and it means he gets to go explore his environment. He has learned to walk gently on leash and to sit for treats. It isn’t much, but it is a start. Pietro now enjoys spending time with people and getting belly rubs. This 1-year-old, 51 pound lab mix would love a home where he can spread his wings and become the amazing dog we all know he can be.
