There’s been a delay in a planned vote on a property tax abatement for the Legacy Pointe sports complex.

The Springfield school board had been expected to discuss and vote on the developers’ request for a tax break at Tuesday’s meeting. But that item was removed from the agenda earlier in the day on Tuesday.

District 186 says lawyers for the developers and the district needed more time to fine-tune details of the agreement, and the long holiday weekend kept them from finishing in time for a vote this week. The proposal is now expected to go before the school board at its next meeting on September 19th.
