The Chicago Bears are offering conceptual drawings of a possible future new stadium in Arlington Heights.
The Bears are in ongoing talks about leaving their longtime home at Chicago’s Soldier Field for a move to the suburbs, at the site of the former Arlington National Racecourse. The team says it envisions the site as a full entertainment complex with business and housing components, along with restaurants, a hotel, and green space.
The team says the proposed domed stadium could host a Super Bowl, college football playoffs, and other major events… and says the complex would create 48,000 jobs and generate $9 billion in economic activity.
