Nearly 60 years after a group of teens formed a band in the Chicago suburb of Berwyn, the Ides of March is a rock and roll legend.

The group that gave us the classic rock masterpiece “Vehicle” — and became part of the inaugural class of inductees in the Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame — is still together, with almost all the original members still performing. And they’ll be appearing in a free concert Monday, August 15 in the Illinois State Fair Grandstand.
